They were given power by the Father to manifest their abilities and embrace the awesomeness of creation. Things were going so well, but only until Lucifer developed pride and plotted to overthrow the father. God sent him and his agents packing from heaven. On the other hand, Jetebais, because of his selfish desire to be completely independent, decided to leave heaven as well. To make matters worse, he joined Satan to perpetrate evil to mankind. The main event that fascinated me was Jetebais’ intricate journey to atone for his past transgressions. He was really bent on making things right again. Furthermore, the writer masterfully weaved together historical and biblical events, and this made the reader have a good comprehension of the subject. The characters’ distinct personalities and roles kept me engaged. Jetebais, in all his complexity, stands as the protagonist with a mission—a mission that leads to exhilarating moments and shocking revelations. His partnership with the unassuming priest creates a dynamic duo that carries the suspenseful narrative through twists and turns, right up to an explosive climax. Speaking of the showdowns, the revelations, and the unmasking of dark forces, all of it was like a rollercoaster ride that had me holding my breath. I found myself turning pages long into the night, eager to uncover the next layer of the plot.
It was revealed in the story that Satan trusted Jetebais so much and would never imagine that he would spill his secrets to the public someday. This aspect added a unique twist to the story. In fact, the battle was like that of two friends trying to expose the awful deeds of one another. Furthermore, I love the fact that other biblical events, such as the factors that caused the fall of man, the birth of Cain and Abel, and the flood that occurred in Noah’s days, were incorporated into the book. Jetebais’ family background and memories of people that he met in his redemption journey were also beautiful to read.
And here’s the kicker: I can’t really say there’s something I dislike about this book. The pacing was spot-on, the characterization was great, and the writing flowed effortlessly. It’s a rare gem when a story captures your attention so completely that you don’t even have time to lose focus on it. In addition, the editing of this book was exceptionally done. For these reasons, I’m giving I, Jetebais a rating of five out of five stars.
I’d wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who craves a riveting blend of suspense and religious intrigue. If you’re a fan of tales that delve into the eternal struggle between good and evil, then this is a must-read. Prepare to be immersed in a world where angels and demons collide, and redemption takes center stage.

About The Author: Robert Martin Bishop grew up in the 1960s in Bristol, Connecticut, the son, and grandson of Lutheran pastors. In those days, suspicion and even a quiet animosity existed between the various faiths and churches in that relatively small town. Nuns in the Roman Catholic Church across the street from Bishop’s Lutheran Church were forbidden by their priests to walk on the “Lutheran side of the street.” This led him to ponder how such differences could be forgiven and resolved; this, in turn, started him wondering whether Satan’s angels could also seek forgiveness. After retiring first from the corporate world and then from teaching high school, Bishop was finally able to write the novel that occupied his thoughts for decades. He is presently writing the sequel to this work.
Message From Author: I grew up the “pastor’s kid” in 1960’s Bristol, Connecticut. There was a church on every corner representing every branch of the Christian faith imaginable. Almost every church had a school associated with it. The divisions that existed between the churches were at the very core of what defined social norms – including which side of the street you walked on.
My father chose a career in faith over being a hockey player. My father took his calling seriously. He felt he was on stage 24/7. One day out of the blue, my father took down his skates and skated with us on the pond in the park. I was amazed at his skills. Then he hung up his skates and never skated again. My father became a Bishop in the Lutheran church and eventually took an assignment at a church in Germany. My father spoke German, my mother did not.
I learned to speak German and was an exchange student in Germany. To this day I love traditions and high church rituals and ceremonies. I now live in “Horse Country” with my wife and an assortment of pets.
