Jennifer Sturgis Mysteries by Glenn Sartori

The Triplets’ Secret by Glenn Sartori.

Jennifer Sturgis Mystery Book One.

Retired journalist Jennifer Sturgis never imagined one cold case would change the course of her life. That case—the mysterious disappearance of Crystal Scott—has been unsolved for fifty years.

The main persons of interest were the “Triplets,” three women never charged, but branded guilty by an entire town. Now in their eighties, the triplets, fascinated by Jennifer’s blustery entrance into their calm life, allow her an interview—with one bizarre condition.

Jennifer accepts. Soon she is mesmerized by the old women’s tale. Disturbed by possible connections to her family, she finds herself facing a vengeful gunman. But no matter the risks, she is determined to publish their story.

The Triplets’ Secret is a story of obsession, reinvention, and shocking revelations that compel Jennifer to question everything—even her own identity.

Review by Chris Flesor: 5.0 out of 5 Stars. A fun, witty detective story laced with unpredictable twists. Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2019. Verified Purchase. I loved the whole premise of this book. It had that small town feeling where everyone knows more than they should about you, but never really know you at all beyond family lore. The triplets were stuck with those assumptions and yet chose to live in their town with strength and fortitude. They were such rich characters! The plot was strong, took lots of fun twists and surprises, along with the reveal of secrets. It was a fun book, a good mystery, and I hope to see more about the gutsy heroine in her growing career as detective. This is definitely one I recommend!

Review by Paul Slovacek: 5.0 out of 5 Stars. Thanks for a Great Story. Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2019. Verified Purchase. A very well written story. Since I’m a Missourian I can relate to some of the places detailed in the telling of the story.

Review by James Rehg: 5.0 out of 5 Stars. Sartori delivers another interesting plot. Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2019. I love a mystery that keeps you guessing. The Triplets’ have more than one secret so the story has many twists and turns before Jennifer unravels Crystal’s story. A good read. Give it a try.

Her Father’s Past by Glenn Sartori.

Jennifer Sturgis Mystery Book 2

Private Investigator Jennifer Sturgis has had her share of odd cases. But when she receives a cryptic letter inquiring about the health of her father, she is stunned—her father has been dead for thirty-five years. That letter leads to a mysterious client who hires Jennifer to find her father.

Eager for answers, she soon flounders in a maze of contradictory stories—nothing makes sense. Then an apparently unrelated murder exposes shocking Sturgis family secrets and connections to a shadowy organization. What had Jennifer’s father done? Was her father alive?

Her Father’s Past is a story of lies, personal conflicts, and a painstaking search that leads to a dark-web chatroom—and eventually, the truth.

Review by James Rehg: 5.0 out of 5 Stars. Another wonderful plot driven mystery with more twists and turns than a mountain road. Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2021. Once again, Jennifer is involved in a case where the evidence points too close to home. Is her father alive or dead, and if he is living, where is he? The author keeps the tension and suspense redlined until Jennifer answers that question in her classic investigative style. It’s a good quick read scattered with red herrings. Pack it for your next trip to the beach or business flight and enjoy a fun book.
