If you enjoy the wonderful pace of short story collections, this should be your next purchase. These thirty-five ‘Prime-Time Crime Time’ novellas are works of pure fiction. Author John Wiessner writes interesting stories dealing with various types of crime and criminal motivation. This is not the first collection of novellas that I have read, and it certainly won’t be the last. This is a perfect collection of short stores to take anywhere and enjoy.

Here are my favorite short tag lines from 10 of these 35 very enjoyable novellas.

The Bounty Hunter: “Trevor Crawford’s fertile-but-sinister imagination had always fantasized devising and committing “the perfect crime.”

A Small World: “Eugene held huge personal grudges against twelve people from his academic past who he believed had excessively offended and grieved him.”

Missions Accomplished: “Only if we’re able to first solve this abominable series of horrendous church bombings,” Chief Giralo bluntly answered.

The Duck Pond: “The sly Sicilian culprit and his burly bodyguard lieutenants had never been convicted of engaging in criminal activity, even though “the Duke” was constantly under intense police scrutiny.”

The Trespassers: “Farmin’ is such a big gamble with the unpredictable weather that we’re all sick and tired of gamblin’ when the harvest season’s finally over.”

Too Much Monkey Business: “Are you inherently psychic or clairvoyant; a true crime-solving wizard, or what?”

Double Trouble: Little honor exists between ignominious human beings, and this graphic story confirms that very valid social/ethical axiom.

Swarming Killer Bees: Of all the baffling crime scenarios that have both challenged and intrigued FBI Inspector Joe Giralo, none has ever been more mysterious and bewildering than the difficult case of the “Swarming Killer Bees”.

What Goes Around Comes Around: “I’d rather commit hara-kiri than put myself through the nasty torture of again teaching kindergarten,” Carol admitted.

City Councilmen: A major obstacle stood in Clint’s political path: his Atlantis Coastal Hotel landlord Thomas Theodore Wallace was already a prominent member of the city council.

I highly recommend you pick up all of Jay Dubya’s books. His books are entertaining and educational. His books are easy to read and make marvelous gifts for teens through adults.
