Novella: “The Hunt for Elias Weber” starts on Mars and finishes on Earth. Elias Weber is bored and eager to get back to Earth. Returning to the mother planet was all he lived for now. Not that life on Mars was bad; it was good and offered more than his sojourn on the moon ever had during his time as Damien Dayananda’s second-in-command. It is a tale of sought-after-revenge, wistful desire for days long gone, and a reflection on how severe mind propaganda can influence a person’s thoughts and actions.
Novella: “Few and Far Between” takes place on Venture (AD 2291) and a strange alien artificial planet. Nothing can be taken for granted. Laura Sinclair is worried. The twins Len and Ben should have returned by now. After three years, on their new planetary home, Venture, the boys had grown into rambunctious teenagers whose self-confidence knew no bounds. But they always arrived home from their explorations on time, if only to sample her latest culinary creation. Except for today!
Novella: “Battle Lines”: This story takes place on the alien planet Glieze and illustrates the futility of war and the necessity of trust. It is a contest between World War and extinction or survival and faith in the future. Sometimes the way forward springs from the most unlikely source.
