Riddles for the Kingdom by C. M. Bolte
Consider for a moment experiencing life that takes place long ago….a time before our modern world of chaos….before cars, before trains or planes, before cowboys and Indians.
The lifestyle of this time, if you can imagine, was very different. This was a time of Knights and dragons, Kings and Queens, where nothing seemed impossible, and where nothing was as it seemed, except for the ominous emerging spiritual conflict between good and evil.

About The Author: Author, C.M. Bolte grew up in a small agricultural community in Indiana during the 1960s. Her parents had a deep love for reading; however, Cindy somehow struggled to share that love as a child. While in elementary school, reading was always difficult and writing never seemed to be on the radar. It wasn’t until college, through a dear friend’s help and encouragement, that the world of reading was opened up, allowing her to travel to places beyond her dreams. In high school she became interested in genealogy, traveling with a relative to discover hidden secrets about their ancestors. She began reading memoirs that her grandmother had written and became interested in writing herself. Her interest for writing and reading grew even more after college while working in an elementary school where she had opportunities to help children to improve their reading skills through small reading groups and a specialized reading program designed to help students and adults (SRA).
It was during this time that Cindy began to write poetry, eventually being a finalist in the Pen It Magazine Poetry contest, as well as dabble in writing some Reader’s Theater scripts for the elementary school in which she worked. Riddles for the Kingdom has been eight years in the making. It began as a story writing journey with her three children, all contributing something to its creation and to whom she dedicates this book. Cindy is a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Social Work. She lives with her husband and children in Columbus, Indiana and is a Teaching Assistant for one of the local High Schools. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, fishing, quiet time by the lake, and spending time with family. Cindy’s deep faith in God and family has truly motivated her to help others. May this book touch the hearts of those who read it and help you reach those places beyond your dreams.
