TALON, CONNECTED is the fourth story in the TALON series.
It’s for children, teens and young adults, even for younger ones. For when they have an affliction, or are handicapped, they can find out, that there is always a way out, to be happy and live with it, even when they are rejected.

Matica meets with the village eldest and wisest man, Elcano, who tells her ‘we are all connected to each other, Matica’s family and the Condors’.
Elcano also shares with Matica that he predicts that the Condors will be protected by all because Matica, her family, the Indians and the Condors are all connected.

5 Stars: Journey Of Adventure and Friendship!
Talon, Connected (book four) by Gigi Sedlmayer begins after the Dangerous Trek Through Tropical Rain Forests in book three. This Talon Adventure series is for teens and all those young at heart. Each book can be enjoyed out of sequence.
Matica finally fell asleep, after sharing her harrowing ordeal, that nearly took her Dad’s life. If not for the amazing actions of the condors and Matica’s courage the poisonous spider would have won the battle.
You will bond with this wonderful family. Let your imagination soar with Matica and three remarkable condors (Talon, Tamo, and Tima) in this great out-of-doors adventure. This series takes place in the mountains of Peru. The village of Pucara which is close to equator. It is surrounded by tropical rain forests, green and barren mountains, forests, grasslands, green or brown valleys, small rolling hills, and deep steep canyons.
Let me bring you into the story at Chapter 39: Did You See the ‘You Know Who’?
…They flew to the rainforest and over the deep crevice and hole where they had encountered the poachers the day before, but didn’t see them anywhere. Even the two hawks attacked them, acting normally again. Then they flew to the Inca dwelling and came back over the foothills of the great Andes.
…Everywhere they flew they looked out for the poachers, but they didn’t see them anywhere. Joyful, Matica called out, ‘It’s wonderful. Today we haven’t seen the “you know who” anywhere. I wonder where they are and what they’re up to. Mind you, Talon, it’s good that we haven’t seen them. So, they’re not on your trail yet. Do you think they gave up on trying to find you?’ Talon grunted and shook his head. ‘No? I might think that too.’
…Tamo and Tima grunted at either side of her and shook their heads as well.
… ‘You think they’re just somewhere else before they come back to look for you and possibly find you? No, no, I shouldn’t say that. They won’t find you. No way.’
…It was a bit longer than their usual one-hour flight, since they flew to the Incan dwelling as well, when Talon landed softly in front of their hut. Hugging him after jumping down, Matica watched him taking flight to join Tamo and Tima in the sky.
… ‘How was it? Did you see the “you know who”?’ Mira inquired, standing in the door, watching the birds’ flight for a while, then she went inside. Matica followed but left the door open.
… ‘It was great, of course, and no, we didn’t see them.’ She sat down beside her dad at the table. ‘Dad, you’re up? How are you?’
How is Matica’s Dad’s recovery, and what are the poachers up to?

Gisela (Gigi) Sedlmayer was born on 19 May 1944 in Potsdam, a suburb of Berlin in Germany.
Her family escaped to the West just before the infamous wall went up. They moved around in Germany until finally settling in Munich where Gigi studied architectural drafting and met Albert in 1965, marrying in December 1967. She worked as a civil drafts’ person in various private consultancies in Munich.
May 1975, Gigi and her husband moved to New Zealand. Because of language challenges, she started a handicraft business. As a specialty, she made colorful parrots of which she sold thousands in a few years.
May 1989, they became adoptive parents of twin girls from Fiji.
September 1992, they moved to Australia.
November 1993 Gigi was diagnosed with cancer. By the grace of God, she survived and seeing her husband writing the story about the adoption, she started to write short stories for competition since her English became increasingly better.
She entered them in competitions and often got very good reports back, which gave her confidence to go on writing. One day the idea for the TALON series came to her and she spent the next several years bringing the story and the characters to life.
