Review by Paula Hrbacek – Pensacola Examiner – Sept. 4, 2013: A new series of children’s books teaches young learners about the history of famous US landmarks. “Little Miss History Travels to Mount Rushmore”, was the first in the series of books using the Little Miss History character as a guide. It won a B.R.A.G. Medallion. The author, Barbara Ann Mojica, has just released the second title about the Statue of Liberty. Review by Michelle Robertson for Readers’ Favorite: Little Miss History is a young girl who travels far and wide. The author skillfully informs readers of the history of the Statue of Liberty by stating facts that include where the statue came from, who designed it, who built it, and also who funded it, and what she represents. The author’s partnered illustrator Victor Ramon proved brilliant as he portrays vivid, bright, and eye-popping illustrations, allowing readers to gain a full vision of what they are reading.

Review by Renee@Mother-Daughter Book Reviews: Little Miss History Travels to the Statue of Liberty is an excellent non-fiction picture book that is very kid-friendly, has high educational value, and is visually interesting. I can see this book being used by teachers or school librarians in educational settings across the United States. Ages 4+

Review by Kitty Muse Book Reviews: The only good descriptive I can come up with for this book is “amazing”. And I don’t mean the over-used meaning of the word. I was totally blown away by what I didn’t know about the Statue of Liberty. This story is not just for kids. The one who reads the book and the one who hears the narrative will both benefit from the telling.

Review by Bonnie Ferrante, Retired Teacher, Author of “Too Quiet, Too Noisy” and “The Amida Tree”: Little Miss History Travels to the Statue of Liberty is another hit for Barbara Ann Mojica. Her illustrations are true gems. Children aged seven and up, and adults as well, will learn from and enjoy this book. Highly recommended.

From the Author: “If you don’t know your history, you don’t know what you’re talking about.”
