I learned something while reading that I didn’t know. I had never thought about the history behind the term ‘cowboy’ until Author Iona Morrison took me on this exciting adventure to Tucson Arizona, where the streets of Tombstone hold mysteries of their own.
Iona skillfully draws her readers into the drama, creating suspense and intrigue, with a dash of romance on the side. Let me bring you into the story at Chapter 12:
…Jaxon was waiting for Peyton when she stepped out of the tour van. He grabbed her hand, and she slapped at his arm and tried to pull free. He held tight. Silent treatment, he had expected and possibly worse. Side by side they walked beside each other in complete silence.
…When they reached Allen Street, the historic street of the old west and the tourist part of Tombstone, he noticed a sudden change in her demeanor. Something was up but what? “Are you okay?” he asked.

At one point, she ducked, flinched, and seemed to weave back and forth as if moving through a huge crowd. “Peyton, what’s up?” She ignored the question. He kept pace with her and waited until she returned from wherever she had gone.
