“A New Epoch Has Begun”

Evolution’s Angels by Nick Iuppa.

A NEW EPOCH HAS BEGUN – A university researcher discovers groups of children born with extraordinary new mental and physical abilities. But, when news of their existence is leaked to the press, she must fight to protect them from media hysterics and hate groups who seek their extermination.

5 Stars: Exploring this next step in humanity’s evolutionary process.

With careful precision, Nick Iuppa introduces us to the next step in the evolution of the human species… children born with exceptional mental and physical abilities that enable them to communicate, move, and interact beyond human capabilities. Then the author explores the terrifying question; how will the world react to these angelic beings.

Humans fear what they don’t understand. And soon a whole group of fear mongers begin claiming that these children are out to replace humanity, and so we need protection from them.

Nick divides this book into three parts, Part One-Abomination, Part Two-Humanity First and Part Three-The Deathtrap. He introduces the children and their discovery, then explores the reaction against them by unscrupulous media personalities, and finally presents a confrontation in which the children and their allies must take on the movement to destroy them.

This fast-moving plot features a long list of characters: the children and their families, doctors, nurses, researchers, media personalities, government officials, bicycle gangs, and—let’s not forget—the protesters. They come from diverse locations including Leland University in Northern California, ranches outside of Tucson, Arizona, and ghettos in New York.

It’s a dangerous test for this new generation of children, who must face a host of challenges and miraculous possibilities if fear doesn’t take over and destroy them first.

Exploring this next step in humanity’s evolutionary process.

Review by Henry Shilell: 5.0 out of 5 Stars. Human evolution can be scary as hell Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2024.Outstanding story about children around the world who are gifted with mental abilities none of us possess. With their minds they can communicate with one another without speaking, they can control machines and even drive vehicles without being in the driver’s seat. They can also fly without wings or having to be attached to a flying machine of some sort. Of course, all of these fascinating abilities frighten many people who, fearing for their lives, want to exterminate them from the planet. But until they’re gone, if ever, they will definitely be the next variation of we Homo Sapiens as their numbers mount with them eventually taking over the world. A great read from beginning to end.

Review by Art Maurer: 5.0 out of 5 Stars. An enjoyable read brings fearful plot to life. Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2024. Taking place in several locations in the United States, Nick Iuppa quickly sets the stage for each and introduces several strong likable characters as he moves the story along. The implications of the plot can be frightening, but Nick never lets it get out of hand; the characters consider all the options, and we come to care about them. The book entices us to get back to it. We come to wonder if having kids with superior mental powers and super strength will bode well for us mere mortals. That said, ironically, it’s a relaxing and enjoyable read…

Review by Sarah: 5.0 out of 5 Stars. Highly recommend! Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2024. Highly recommended reading. Very interesting subject matter, highly thought-provoking, and comes with a double surprise ending. Fast-paced read and difficult to put down once started. Layout and font make for an easy read for folks with vision issues. Review by my father, Martin M.
