The Legend Of The Eagle Feather by Barbara J. Duell.
Best Friend Series-Book One.
The Legend of the Eagle Feather is the premier chapter book in the Best Friend Series for young readers, by author, Barbara J. Duell. Long ago, while flying high above the earth, Father Sky heard the spirits call him to a special place in the mountains. He rested in the valley and before leaving, cut a path through the darkness – leading to The Enchanted Pool.
So begins the story of Button, a boy whose broken spirit leads him down Father Sky’s path on a great adventure. It promises to change him forever, but first he must hold back his fear, overcome the doubt of others, fight for courage, and believe in the impossible! The Legend of the Eagle Feather is a story of courage. Many times, in our lives, we will find ourselves walking a path we have not chosen, carrying burdens we do not want. Life is not always fair, but when we reach deep within ourselves and bring forth the courage to face fear, to triumph over adversity, we rise above what is not fair and stand tall among all men.
Review by Shewhee: 5.0 out of 5 Stars. Great book for children, especially boys! I have purchased 4 copies of this book for my grandsons. It is a wonderful story about finding courage in adversity, within ourselves. All my grandsons have thoroughly enjoyed reading this adventurous book.

About The Author: A Journey To Another Place. International best-selling author, Barbara J. Duell loves to travel around the world, sometimes without ever leaving her home. A history buff, she continues to seek answers as to how we got to where we are today, how different civilizations have changed, usually due to the impact of war.
Barbara can be found each day at her computer, laughing or crying, just tagging along wherever her characters decide to take her. Barbara has lived by the sea, high in the pine forest where eagles soar, in a valley near the river’s edge, and now resides in the delicate land of the southwestern desert.
